This always reminds me of ebru art, like water marbling. I used to make ebru art at school and I remember being completely fascinated by how the patterns would form on water. You never really control it, you just guide it a little and see what happens.
Watching this swirl feels exactly the same. Every batch creates its own pattern, and no two ever turn out alike. It still feels a bit magical every time.

One of the most common questions we receive is which soap works best for sensitive skin.

Although all our soaps are formulated to be gentle and natural, this bar was created especially with sensitive skin and facial use in mind.

Avocado & Green Clay Face Soap combines nourishing plant oils with mineral rich clay to cleanse the skin while keeping it comfortable and balanced.

Why these ingredients?

• Avocado – naturally rich in fatty acids and vitamins that help support the skin barrier and keep the skin feeling soft.
• Green clay – traditionally valued for helping draw out impurities and excess oil while gently purifying the skin.
• Olive oil – creates a mild and conditioning cleanse.
• Coconut oil – contributes to a creamy cleansing lather.
• Shea butter – adds extra nourishment and helps keep the bar gentle and conditioning.
• Sweet almond oil – brings softness and a smooth skin feel.

There are no added fragrances in this bar. The soap carries only the subtle natural scent of its ingredients. So it still smells wonderful 😊

Like our other soaps, it is made in small batches using traditional cold process methods.

But looks can be deceiving 🍊

The other day, I wanted to try something a bit different. While testing a few ideas and playing with embeds, this design had been sitting in my mind for a while.

It definitely needs some refining, but I loved the idea of hiding something unexpected inside something so simple. What do you think?

It's been a very intense December overall.
I’ve barely managed to share anything from the all month even though I’ve been meaning to post every single day.🙈 Between packing lots of soap and making things, keeping my lovely stockists’ shelves topped up ( thank you @rafedinburgh @atlasgiftsmorningside @logan_malloch @summerhallartsboutique @bambuedinburgh @malouve_handmade ) Christmas markets, sending online orders, and constantly topping up the stall, it’s been completely non-stop.

I’m also dangerously low on lemongrass and grapefruit, which honestly feels like a small catastrophe 😅

Thank you so much to everyone who’s supported me this season — popped by, shopped small, sent kind messages or cheered me on. It truly means everything. 💚

I’m actually taking tomorrow off (yes, really). Then I’ll be back Wednesday & Thursday, 12–4.30, in the shop — embracing the chaos and here for any last-minute Christmas shopping 🎄

We get our inspiration from nature and we learn from nature. Every plant has a different story to tell. After experimenting for a few years with various ingredients and oils we created our soaps to bring you the best that nature has to offer. Our soaps are very rich in olive oil so they are moisturising and gentle on skin. They also smell amazing!
